Responsibilities The Supervisor of Cardiac Cath/EP Lab will oversee the Invasive Cardiology. The incumbent performs in a clinical leadership role, contributes to efficient operation of the unit, and demonstrates professional development/clinical competency. While on duty, the Supervisor is responsible for the supervision of care givers administering care to patients. In this role, he/she will assure that the care, equipment and services provided are appropriate to the ages and needs of the patient population served. The incumbent is to present for work in a timely manner, groomed professionally, and perform their job function in accordance with all Norton Healthcare standards, policies and procedures. He or she must demonstrate a thorough knowledge of cardiac anatomy and physiology. He or she must demonstrate a thorough knowledge of the invasive procedures provided in this area.

Responsibilities A professional nurse is an individual accountable for the care of a group of patients. The Registered Nurse (RN) focuses on safe effective patient and family centered care, customer satisfaction and quality outcomes. The RN is responsible for assisting in maintaining a financially stable unit, promoting his/her own development with an emphasis on evidence based practice and education supported by a Practice Governance framework. The RN supervises licensed and non-licensed staff members. Applying the caring processes of the Kristin M. Swanson Model of Care, the RN has the responsibility to assess, develop, implement and evaluate the plan of care. The RN focuses on patient and family comforts, education and satisfaction. The RN applies his/her educational and professional experiences in the delivery of quality care and mentoring/precepting staff.
